This is still a work in progress, but you get the idea.
My first big person job was a Social Worker in Home Care, which meant I went in and out of people’s homes to set up personal care services and health care referrals. The best part of my day was when people wanted to show me the photos of their lives.
Now, one of my favourite things is riffling through the photos at the re-use center, because people take such beautiful, elegant, mundane and poorly timed pictures, and when they don’t want to keep them any more, I love taking these discarded photos and repurposing them into greeting cards. Unfortunately, I can’t credit who took the picture, but “unknown photographer” is noted on the back of each one, and I credit the artist who came up with fonts that I hand draw.
