I’m a third generation grand daughter of Hungarian and Ukrainian settlers who is honoured to be living in Amiskwacîwâskahikan (ᐊᒥᐢᑿᒌᐚᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ), Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory, Alberta, Canada – the traditional territory of Cree, Blackfoot, Métis, Nakota Sioux, Iroquois, Dene, and Ojibway/Saulteaux/Anishinaabe nations.
As WorkHus, I’m happy to offer handmade jewelry, hand sewn clothing, cards, needle crafts and curated items of curiosity and delight. I work from a small studio (read: my kitchen table) and I’m most inspired by the prairies where I live and the starkly different landscapes of my home province – from the deep cuts of the badlands, the smooth and open grasslands, to the boreal forests and the Rocky Mountains. I like exploring unconventional materials and I often incorporate things like sea glass, wood and river rocks in my designs. I rarely make the same piece twice – although if you do see something you like, I also make custom pieces.
